The Center is housed at the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center (OARDC) of The Ohio State University (OSU), but collaborates with several regional and national institutions. Important among these are Ohio University, Case Western Reserve University, Ohio Department of Agriculture, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, the Ohio Farm Bureau, the Olentangy River Wetland Research Park and others. The Center is developing the criteria and rationale for C management and sequestration at regional and national levels, and is seeking involvement of adjacent states in the management process, which is critical to the development and implementation of a sustainable science-based C policy.

The Center has on-going programs with the Ohio Coal Development Office and Federal Government (USDA-NRCS and ARS), Battelle (C-site) and AEP among others. The Center has support of industry including AEP and others, and works in close collaboration with Battelle, Los Alamos National Lab (LANL), Pacific Northwest National Lab (PNNL), and Consortium for Agricultural Soils Mitigation of Greenhouse Gases (CASMGS).
